Yep it's true, the first Expansion for NWN2 has been announced and EPIC LEVELS will finally come to NWN2 among many other goodies, head to our website for all the juicy information

expansions aside i hope we eventually get a stable v1.05 patch. it was in beta test for almost a month, released, and within 72 hours it was yanked out due to major bugs. it is just my personal opinion but i think at this point talk of an expansion is not a good way to spend those zots. they should be fixing something we already paid for rather than forcing us to dole out more cash for possibly more broken stuff.
i know obsidian does not owe me patches or fixes and also know they are not holding a gun to my head and forcing me to buy this expansion however if i wish to continue playing multiplayer just as i wished to continue playing multiplayer in NWN i must purchase the expansion even if i do not want it.
i know its too late now but they should fix all the broken spells, feats, and toolset issues before delving into more things which will inevitably break other things.
this is just my opinion and is no way a reflection of the eternal destiny staff, its players, or the server. i would just for once like to play that game without any issues and when i am using the toolset i would love to have an undo button that actually undoes stuff. is that so much to ask?

I wanted BioWare to work on NWN2! NOT OBSIDIAN! I only bought it because I thought it would be a good game.
BioWare could have done wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better.
and I agree with you Sharona.
Knowing out luck, NWN2:MotB will need a MAJOR patch just to get to the Main Menu and you still would not be able to play.
Atari made a biggest mistake of their lives when they cut NWN off.

not that i do not agree with you "Guild championship ringmaster" but obsidian is the . . . um . . . future of the NWN franchise.
personally i am waiting on pins and needles for dragonage. until then nwn works for me.

about patch 1.05: It hates my comp. Makes NWN2 run like a sloth in glue.
Obsidian is the same core team of devs that hlped bring us classic like BG1 and BG2. Know what studio im talkin bout?
Black isle studios, disbanded when interplay died, but reborn as obsidian. I think they COULD have done a better job on NWN2 though, as their work on KORTOR II was splendid, a great sequl to bioware's KORTOR I. NWN2 was rushed out though, hence all of these crazy bugs, and crappy patches that just make the game worse... I'm not playin NWN2 till a stable patch comes out... Probably gonna wait till 1.06...
On mask of the betrayer: Cool. Epic in NWN2! Awesome! Downs: Another crappy round of patches and bugs... I wonder if continuing to get the expansions is worth my aggrevation?
The plot fer it seems rather cheesy, i mean thats practically the only plot nowadays, i mean come on be more creative! SC get over there and fix that up
In closing I'm gonna need a try before i buy fer mask o the betrayer.....
(Its2:35AM, I neeed sleep...)

Wierd for you to say that, 95% of the people i've talked to state that KOTOR2 was a HUGE disappointment, however i can't really say sin ce i've yet to get KOTOR2.

we must speak to the same people because alot of the issues in NWN2 can be traced right back to KOTOR2. i am surprised these issues have not been addressed considering they already one game with them.
that being said i read a review at gamespot or gamasutra or someplace this weekend for the MotB and it appears all new companions are being used in this expansion. for me that's a good thing since i disliked each and every companion and killed the female(i forget name) cause she dissed our relationship after "being with me". i sincerely hope this new influence system is implemented properly or at least follows the definition of influence in its implementation. i just hope its not some lame AI thingie.
i usually quit playing a character by level 20-25 as i grow bored with the character by then. i like lower levels myself. i find it more challenging to live or die trying at the early stages of character life. although there are times when i do enjoy epic levels. when i just feel the need to stomp things to goo with nary a thought to my health and well being. this usually happens after a stressful day. nothing says relief quite like spilling blood on my computer screen. so while epics somewhat mean nothing to me there are times when they come in handy so having them available in NWN2 will be nice. now if i could just find a decent persistent world. the only ones out there right now seem to beta at best and with servers constantly crashing its not much fun to players.
am i looking forward to mask of the betrayer? no. but i will be buying it i guess so i can continue building for others and hoping multiplayer improves.

Kortor 2 played nicely with rp, if u like to just agree with whatever yer compainios say....
but i rp'd it well enogh to make almost all of them jedi
